Small cymbals used in prayer, ceremonies, rituals as well as at the beginning and end of meditation sessions. The cymbals are joined together by a leather strap, and struck together edge to edge at right angles producing a clear and high pitched tone. They are made in Nepal and come in small at 3" in dia. and engravings at the bottom side, and large at 3.75" dia.
Also known as Kyeezees or Burmese Whirling Gongs. Made from bronze these solid flat "bells" are struck along the edge of the surface with a wooden mallet and while spinning around they create a vibrato effect.
